I've waited a while to leave a review, because I wanted to give the office time across multiple visits.
I would say that this office is better than most dentists that I've been to in the past. The first time I took my kids, they were seen with absolutely no wait time. My daughter had a small cavity on the surface of one of her teeth and they were able to fill it the same day, with no anesthesia. Another tooth in a subsequent visit that had a cavity was a baby tooth. Dr. Taraporewalla said it would fall out in the coming months and there was no need to fill it. This to me was a game changer, since the last office I had brought my kids to insisted on filling cavities on baby teeth and made you uncomfortable for raising questions. I brought my daughter in a couple months later for a quick check on that tooth and was not charged for that, which was amazing.
Since then, I trust whatever the dentist says, knowing if he says something needs to be done, it needs to be done. They are not after getting more money out of you.
After our last cleanings, we grabbed some coffee and hung out for a while afterward, while my daughter finished her homework. The front desk people are super friendly and comfortable to talk to. The x-ray people are not super friendly, but hey, not everything can be perfect!
The office is very clean and pleasant; you forget you're on the corner of College & El Cajon when you're in there.
I'm surprised at the negative reviews since we have been here multiple times and have never had any issues with being overcharged or quoted a huge amount of money. If there were ever any questions, they were accommodating and totally willing to wait for me to talk to the insurance.
